Hi I’m Jeanné Els, the founder of Selah
Selah was born from the tension between two worlds I knew intimately: high performance and deep sensitivity.
For most of my life, I learned how to succeed externally long before I learned how to feel safe internally.
Professionally, I built a successful career within finance and corporate leadership environments. I understood responsibility, pressure, excellence, performance and achievement. I became someone people trusted. Someone capable. Someone resilient.
Like many high performers, I became exceptionally skilled at functioning while disconnected from myself.
Over time, I began noticing something I could no longer ignore: many intelligent, capable, high-achieving people were quietly carrying the same exhaustion, disconnection and overwhelm beneath their professionalism.
I recognised that experience because I had lived it too.
At the same time, I began recognising that many traditional conversations around healing felt disconnected from the realities of high-performance environments, leadership, ambition and modern life. And many corporate environments still lacked the emotional language, nervous system awareness and psychological depth needed for truly sustainable wellbeing.
Selah was created from the desire to bridge that gap.
Not as a rejection of ambition or success, but as a reimagining of what success can look like when it no longer requires chronic self-abandonment.
I believe people should not have to disconnect from themselves in order to succeed.
Selah is a space for emotional honesty, reflection, nervous system awareness, aligned growth and deeper self-understanding.
For high-achieving, deeply feeling people who want to build lives, relationships and careers that feel both meaningful and sustainable.
The Selah Approach
Selah is designed as a space where emotional depth, nervous system awareness, leadership, self-discovery and meaningful transformation can coexist in a grounded and practical way.
The work within Selah is not about “fixing” people. It is about helping people reconnect with themselves honestly, sustainably and compassionately.
I believe many people already carry deep wisdom within themselves. What they often lack is the safety, reflection, language and support to access it fully.
The approach is deeply reflective, emotionally intelligent and grounded in both lived experience and psychological understanding.
Rather than offering rigid formulas or performative positivity, the work focuses on helping people understand themselves more deeply, reconnect with their nervous systems, recognise unconscious patterns and create lives that feel more aligned internally as well as externally.
For organisations and leadership environments, Selah brings a more human and psychologically aware approach to performance, leadership and workplace wellbeing. One that recognises that people are not machines, and that sustainable success requires emotional intelligence, nervous system awareness, communication, trust, safety and meaningful human connection.
For individuals, Selah becomes a space to slow down enough to hear themselves again. To reconnect with their voice, identity, needs, values and emotional truth.
At its core, the work within Selah is about integration. Bringing together the parts of ourselves that many people have learned to separate: strength and softness, success and rest, leadership and humanity, sensitivity and confidence, ambition and peace.
Empowerment
Selah is not about dependency. It is about empowerment.
Personalised Transformation
There is no single formula for transformation because every person’s journey is deeply personal.
A space to pause
What Selah offers is something different. A space. A pause. A place where people can begin meeting themselves honestly, sometimes for the very first time.
